Live your life through
All through our lives
I was lonely for you
The times you could not love me
Could speak no good things of me
I could only feel despair and pain
But even so I loved you then.
And still a deep ache fills my soul
And I grieve and miss you so
Without hope of your return
But these are lessons we learn.
And oh my darling little one
Time does not mend
Our days of wonder in the sun
Or bring us back our friends
